Reviewing the underwater footage today of Valley pool has been a revelation! I'm not sure i ever want to put a hookbait down there now. This is just one of the more obvious snags, a Jubilee wagon. These would have been shunted back and forth by something like a small diesel engine (Ransomes & Rapier diesel) or winch and cable. There is all sorts of junk down there still. Some of the worst you can imagine. Although some have been cleared by the divers it remains a hostile environment for anglers lines.
