Back in 2011 i did pretty well around this stretch of the river Cam. Bullseye, the Linear and their mates had escaped from the backs three years previously when the lock was opened. All the lads fishing for them wondered what had happened to them and then i go and catch them two miles downstream. Some of them have been out since but recently some anglers are reporting blanks and lack of sightings. I have had a few trips down to the area already this last month and have yet to spot a carp. Perhaps they have now made it out to the vast 'B' section. If so they will take some tracking down, thats for sure. They might never see the back of a net again, not ever.
