Popped down to the river this morning for a few hours to celebrate the start of a new river fishing season. First day of the season and the bridge is deserted. There was a few pleasure anglers further down trying to tempt the bream but not another carper in sight! Sad to say i did not spot a carp either and they continue to be memories only. It seems that just like all those lovely carp i caught from here back in 2004 Bullseye and his friends have also done the vanishing trick. They could of course all be up river but i think that its more likely that they have moved on down the river via the lock at baits bite. I will keep looking for them, you never know eh?
