So here i am still in the final cut of the last episode of 'True Carping'. On a three day session i normally accumulate over three hours of footage cut into between thirty and fifty clips. The films are kept to around a one hour running time for each episode. The first cut i watch all the clips and clean it up, removing any poor footage. This is also the time i cut the clips into episodes if needed. The second cut sees me put in the fades between clips repeating step one again as i go. The third cut sees me finish off the cutting, this time i repeat step one but a little bit more ruthlessly. This also includes any pictures or additions to the film like text breaks or scene shots. Finally i pop in the start and end credits plus the time slots. After each cut the film is watched through again and notes made. Then the film is rendered into a movie and watched again, it may go back to editing if needed. Most films take between two and four days to make.
