The northern corner of 'Valley pool'. This area gets most of the sun and so the carp spend much of their time here. However dont let this tranquil scene deceive you. The margin is barely a foot or two wide before it shelves straight down to 20 feet plus. In summer the water is gin clear all the way down to the lake bed and they can see everything! Like all chalk pits it has it's moods and can be tricky. I like a challenge :-)
