It was a tough session this week on lake 8 which wasn't helped by the constant cold wind changing around. I had my rigs on really good spots but the wrong ones i suspect and in fact i think it would have been hard to get a bite anywhere given the downturn in temperatures. Sessions though are never wasted as you build up a picture of the lake and its underwater topography. These all lead onto the next sessions and provide you with solutions to catching fish. You dont know what you dont know as i keep saying and the learning curve can be hard when results dont come. However when they do come (and they surely will) the rewards will be all the greater and the satisfaction immense. I am already looking forward to my next session as i try a new swim and find out what's in front of me. Connecting up the dots to form a picture, getting lucky now and then and never losing sight of the journey ahead.
