This weeks session on the Woolpacks lake 8 was busy as i finally got the weather conditions i wanted and managed a few fish. Since early April i have been fishing hard not just to get results but also to learn as much as i could about the lake itself and the movements of the fish. The water temperature and conditions have been against me for much of the time and the four week layoff to allow the fish to spawn came just as i was getting in the groove. However fishing as many of the swims as i could early on has stood me in good stead and this week i fully believe i got the swim choice right because of it. Here we have one of the fish i caught, getting on for 40 years old now it's a classic old british woolpack carp. This weeks session was full reward for all the hard work i have put in and confirms the old saying, put in the effort and they'll come.
