A large part of my carp fishing is centered around experimentation with bait. I certainly dont know it all and so I am always learning. Part of the learning process with anything like this though is time and lots of it because it's only over time that you can reasonably make an assumption. Since I first developed it in 1983 this bait has always been about a simple mix of fishmeals, fish oils, bird foods, milk proteins, semolina and maize but since then I have used other ingredients that come from the same family as the ones mentioned and so the recipe has changed over the years. Krill has been a fish catcher of note for some time now and there has been a great improvement in quality, price and availability. So since the end of last summer I have been using it in liquid and dry forms to replace other ingredients in my standard fishmeal basemix. So far results are pleasing but as always I wont be happy until I get it just right, then i'll most likely go and find something else to play with :-)
