The weekend i spent at Hythe was devoted to being social but once sunday morning came i put on my hat and moved to the wild area to give my bait K-LO a good testing. I had with me 7Kg of my homemade version which i have been developing all year and a 5Kg sample batch from the manufacturer based on these developments.
It's a fact, the guy who makes this bait for me knows more about bait than i do and so his decades of knowledge and extensive access to fish catching ingredients has gone into producing the final result for me.
The main requirement of all my baits is that it is made from high quality ingredients which give off a food signal stimulating a feeding response. This is a natural trigger which the carp has evolved to find food items and is a far more reliable way of catching carp than just simply using their undoubted inquisitiveness in picking up just about anything.
Results speak for themselves and in four days i had at least 50 pickups and an estimated 40 carp on the bank. True i was fishing a prolific water but these carp were no virgins and just to prove a point i stuck another 'cheap flavoured bait' on a fourth rod and never got a run on it in 24 hours.
This was the best of the bunch in size and looks and i guess is currently my K-LO PB at 28lb. The film is due for release later this year on my CarpCatcher plus channel in aid of Carpin4Heros. Successful method was my standard bottom bait rig, my semi-fixed-running-rig lead system and an 18mm K-LO boilie.
