It's amazing to think that through the blur of my life i can recall this moment so well. It was a warm summers evening in 1985 and i was spending a few hours fishing from the back of my car in the old car park swim. Back then Todds was a private club fishery and we had a car park with a locked gate. I would drive down around an hour before dark and sit there for a few hours as this proved to be the best time for a bite. What i remember most about this picture though is sitting there in the dark, all on my own, waiting for the flash to go off and feeling at one with everything around me. Every capture was prized, every moment treasured.
