I'm not a romantic when it comes to winter carp fishing. You know the sort of thing, rods reel deep in snow conjuring up all sorts of wondrous outcomes. We've all seen the pictures of happy captors holding their prize in the winter sun but how many of us have ever managed it?
When i was younger back in the early 1980's i fished through the winters, mostly day sessions twice a week with the odd overnighter. Come November everything would switch off until February but i would struggle on such was the desire to be out. Now i am a little more pragmatic about my chances and so don't get out much November to March. However the urge to be out there has never gone away and so by the last week of February 2016 i gave in and got out.
The first episode of The Woolpack lake 7 is in the can, the start of a new journey, a new adventure and i can't wait!
