Of all the anglers that have influenced me the two that stand out the most are Ivan Marks and Rod hutchinson. One is a match angler and the other a carp angler and both possess the same qualities that make them the true legends that they are, passion and innovation.
When i first started out in carp fishing in 1980 you were either a 'Yates', 'Maddocks' or a Hutchy. For me it was Hutchy and then Yates but never Maddocks.
I get an amazing feeling when watching this film because he is saying everything about carp fishing that i also hold true.
I am sure i couldn't bring any more superlatives to Rod Hutchinson legend that haven't already been added but suffice to say when you watch my films it's Rod's influence, Rod's words and Rods wisdom that i am leaning on.
That's the mark of a true legend.
