If there is one thing I like it's short targeted sessions. With the minimum of kit its simplicity itself. The last few weeks has seen me taking trips to a local water of mine where I am trying to catch the four or five decent commons it has. The sessions have been mixed, three to five hours in the evenings or just an hour or so with the mixers.
So far the last four trips with mixers has produced one fish and that was when conditions were ideal. The other three trips were spent looking for the fish and feeding mixers but I never got my rod out for a cast.
I have done two sessions in the evenings but i'll need to do more as well as introduce the bait on a more regular basis.
Hopefully if I keep at it my persistence will pay off and i'll catch em all
