I always think when i'm away that I should enjoy every moment because sooner or later i'll be at work wishing I was back there. However up until 10:30pm last night (when I had a mid double leather) I wasn't planning on returning to lake 8 as the tench were becoming more than just a nusience.
Since first chucking out a bait they were on me, I literally had two on the drop after casting out such was their autumn hunger. Eventually losing count of how many runs, bleeps and tench I'd had, I was that busy.
The problem was I couldn't relax and I didn't get much sleep either. Dawn saw me being woken again with yet another couple of 5-6lb tincas and I was beginning to lose interest. So the rods came out and I went for a walk. Once back and head sorted I cast out both rods again and baited up the swim sweet.
The next two runs came from carp, both twenties.
Never give up eh :-)
