One thing I found out about Linford 1 this week is that if the fish are feeding you need plenty of bait. Usually for me this is around five kilos for a three day session but in Linfords 1's case I might up it and see. There is an awful lot of roach in this lake so the bait will be adjusted also. Maize flour will be used instead of Soya flour as it hardens the bait. This helps to resist the silver fishes attentions and if I think I need a softer bait then later in the year I will go back over to the Soya flour. You cannot do this with shop bought bait and you dont get the same amount of satisfaction either, especially when it works.
