Sometimes you can have too many rods out. Perhaps we use three or four because we can? But is this really good for our fishing? One drawback when using more than two rods is the chance of one of them getting picked up when you have a fish on. This often results in lost fish and has happened to me a few times too many. Having too many lines out can also lessen your chances of a take. The less lines in the water the less chance there is of you being sussed and putting the fish on edge. To be honest i feel that three is just about right on most waters and sometimes two is much better.
