We are back on Redhouse lake after a short trip home for three days. This time with my old mate Jeff Heath formally a Manc but now a true Cambrian (from Cambridge), someone I have fished with for all species in and around cambridge since the late 1980's. We had not been in touch for a number of years but friendships like this can be picked up again like time has never passed. The true telling of a lasting friendship is in the mutual and shared knowledge that is passed between you and the realisation that each of you thought the other was the teacher and that you were the learner. Fishing in such company and in such surroundings as Redhouse lake (we had it all to ourselves!) is a wonderful and fulfilling experience that stays in the memory and rekindles the magic of a true friendship built on mutual respect and understanding.
