Coming up in this weeks episode of Redhouse lake is an explanation of the semi-fixed-running-rig i have been using for the last year. Some of you might also recall the article i published on it here: https://thecarpcatcher.co.uk/thecarpcatchers_blog.php?post=229 It's saved me dumping countless leads to the tench as well as the carp i have caught which i feel can only be a good thing from an environmental point of view. The other aspect i like about it is it doesn't allow the carp to shake the hook free by using the lead as leverage. This is also good for the carp as it will cut down the damage they do when shedding hooks, something that has concerned me now for a while and is plainly evident in many of the carp that are caught nowadays. But what i really like about this rig is that it combats these concerns of mine and catches more fish. So what's not to like?
