So for the Glorious 16th i visited the river Cam and a lake (two in fact but one was a quick look). All i caught was this roach on a chewed away 18mm 'K-LO' boilie squarely hooked in the bottom lip with a size 6 Korda chod hook! Sightings of carp along this stretch have been infrequent but i know they are there. So far i have narrowed the areas down a bit but they can still be miles away if i get it wrong. Carp will hang around areas on rivers for quite some time if the food source is there but then so will the bream and the roach so it is always tough going. The only way to track them down is to constantly feed your areas and fish them in the hope that eventually you will suss it a little and get a result. However a word of caution, before you go on a venture like this you have to give yourself time because when you start out, it's the only thing on your side. Happy fishing everyone.
