Since the beginning of September I have had some amazing fishing using my K-LO boilies. It all started when I netted over 40 carp to 28lb from Nicholls lake in Kent in four days. Since then on my syndicate The Woolpack's lake 8 the fishing has also picked up with 29 fish netted so far, 16 of them tipping the scales over 20lb. So I am obviously very pleased with the results I am getting, from my fishing, but also from my bait. K-LO (short for Krill/Lobster) uses a bait philosophy that I have been applying for decades when making bait to catch carp. Use proven ingredients that the carp find irresistible and want to eat, because they cannot help themselves. You only have to study animals and the way they feed for a short while to realise that nature takes care of ensuring they get enough nutrition. All creatures have inbuilt mechanisms and senses that switch them on and stimulate them to eat, with fish it's no different. So why am I making bait when I have already formulated a very successful mix, had it manufactured and been hauling on? Well I want to try an improve it, or at least see if a different combination works better. This one uses a little more Lobster palatant and a different combination of KPC (Krill protein concentrate) and FPC (Fish protein concentrate) than my other homemade mixes. It's drying as we speak and I will be using it on this weeks session, so let’s see how it goes eh?
