Last week was my last session this year on lake 8 as the water temperatures drop and sport becomes very difficult to achieve. I started off with a quick overnight session way back in February of 2015 and followed it with a short day session a month or so later. Since then i have amassed another eighteen two/three night sessions with the last session producing only one bite in the whole seventy-two hours. Previous to that i had multiple catches the best being seven in one 72 hour session. The total number of fish i lifted onto the scales was thirty three out of a possible 65-70 stock. I lost a few along the way too as you do, but overall i would say i done pretty good. I also managed to get to know the lake really well which is what i set out to do right from the start. I knew all along through the early blanks that it would stand me in good stead and it did. Next year when i return to 'The pack' i will be fishing lake 7 however i will also be popping in on lake 8 but only when the time is right, because of course, now i know.
