Last weeks day session on lake 7 saw me move into three swims in an attempt to track down the Pike. From the top end of the lake on the North bank to the South the weather threw everything at me and i mean everything. But this didn't affect my fishing, well not until the swim exploded (see previous post: Blown away). The Trakker core multi suit protected me completely from the hard driving cold wind and rain so it had no effect on me whatsoever and this is important because it removes boundaries. Weather conditions, high/low pressure, wind/rain, cloud and sunshine all have their part to play and it's recognising these conditions and fishing effectively in them that will see the results come. So this week see's me start to use other methods and baits. Lures of course have a big part to play and are a great way to keep active and search out a large area of water. Straight legering tight to the 2oz running lead and dispensing with the floats will give me more options as i wont have to constantly watch two floats and the range will be increased as well. And if they are taking deadbaits then i have a good selection to choose from that are all great fish catchers. This winter staying at home is not an option it's just one big adventure.
