I arrive at the pool on an overcast but still day with almost no wind. Conditions are good enough for a bite but then another two anglers arrive and bivvy up on the other side of the lake.
The noise from their activities is clearly audible to me and also the carp and as a result of this the carps usual behaviour of migrating over to the other side of the lake changes as they stay on my side of the lake giving me a much better chance.
