One of the biggest problems for presentation of rigs in spring is the growth of silkweed (the green monster), especially if the water is clear which it often is at this time of year. It grows like an algae, in plumes and can cover everything rising feet up into the water in columns.
Thing is, that's where you want to fish because that's where all the food is!
Long choddy's/helicopter rigs with a balanced popup is the order of the day, anything else will most likely just disappear and get snagged up.

A very successful method is clearing it with bait. A few kilos of chops, particles etc will do the job nicely which you may have to repeat to get the desired effect, a nice clean spot, when that's achieved then fill ya boots!
Once cleared you can go back to standard bottom rigs which are always my preferred method of catching, this can be enhanced though with a waffter or balanced popup if its still choddy.
Careful preparation, location, time and work (with a bit of good fortune) will always produce results.
Have fun, and be lucky 👍
