It's the middle of August and it's a warm and wet day, excellent conditions for fishing.
As ever I'm concentrating on the weather to time my slots for day sessions on Reedy Fen.
This week I discuss the wind and its affects, nuisance species, bites and hooks, hookbaits and colour.
There's plenty of fish rolling in front of me and with the methods I'm employing proving to be effective I manage two commons, little and large 😉
Reedy fen is a farm reservoir with a good stock of carp. Around 5-6 acres, the margins have extensive reed beds with a thick layer of silk-weed growing down the margin slopes. The deepest part of the lake is 28 feet with 14 feet just a few rod lengths out.
