Invented by Mike Kavanagh this rig is beautiful in it's simplicity and use. No other rig i tie allows me to change the hook or the hook pattern with such ease yet keep the same presentation. All it really consists of is a length of hooklink material (here again i am using the korda heavy coated braid) with a figure of eight loop either end, simples! The hook end has the coating stripped back, to change the hook just slide the loop over the point of the hook, and remove the ring then slide the loop out of the hook's eye, simply reverse the process to put a new hook on. I use it mostly for popup presentations and it's replacing my current standard setup for popups (see: https://thecarpcatcher.co.uk/thecarpcatchers_blog.php?post=203), the reason for this is all of the above. The top picture is the completed rig and the bottom one the stripped back rig. You can of course use whatever hooklink material, hook etc you wish but keep it simples eh.
