When you fish places like The Woolpacks lake 8 you have to accept that you're not always going to be on the fish or able to catch them and there will be all sorts of reasons for this. So each session you do should be looked upon as part of a building process. Finding out about the water, the swims, the movement of the fish, it's all part of the learning curve and there really isn't any shortcuts. In the six months i have fished lake 8 i have managed 12 sessions getting 8 runs from the Carp and numerous tench in between. Right now i feel i am on the edge of getting it right more often than not but it's all going to take a lot more work and time. However time is running out, it's now September and the nights are drawing in and getting cooler so the race is on.
