Tomorrow morning see's the start of my river sessions. When I first fished the river cam in 2004 I didn't know if there were any carp in the river I just went down and had a go and lucky for me I caught first time out.
This spurred me on and over the September/October of that year I did three day session a week landing a further dozen fish to 20lb+. All pristine fish, all different scaly and wondrous.
River fish are different, hard to find and easy to catch, unless you're fishing a well known spot of course then it's the other way around just like in a lake.
It will be tough and I will be catching few fish if anything at all but then I did that last year on a stocked lake and paid £450 for the privilege!
