It's the next day and despite my misgivings about the weather I return to the pool for another short session. Anywhere that's as shallow as this pool is going to be affected by the Sun. The more sunshine the more likely the carp will migrate away from the deeper areas where they are more catchable and into the shallows where they aren't.
Once in the shallows they will meander about aimlessly feeding very little but also given the clarity of the water and the depth, spot your traps with ease.
So the morning period with low light levels and temperatures is our best chance.
