Tomorrow will see me out on my first carp fishing session since fishing down in the Colne Valley last September/October 2022.
Man I'm rusty!
First job is to figure out my approach.
Since I've fished similar lakes like this before I'm going to start off simple and watch what happens.
The only problem is bait. Having just looked in the freezer I'm left with only twelve kilos of Retro Baits Golden Crab ☹️
I have to find a replacement!
Too old to make my own and anyway I've sold off the rolling kit, it's a top priority at the moment.
I'm fairly sure I'll have to ring the changes over the season rig/lead system wise and move about as much as possible, especially early sessions so I'm looking forward to being busy.
As ever it's exciting to start fishing a new place but this is also poignant as it's a return to filming since Autumn 2020.
I'm rusty on that too!
